About MSP Technologies
MSP Technologies, trading as Multi Source Power, designs, builds and delivers modular battery energy storage systems (BESS) for on-grid and off-grid applications. Its Flex-ESS range includes the Flex-ESS1000, Flex-ESS500 and Flex-ESS250 Hybrid, which integrate Hithium LFP batteries, DC-coupled solar, grid-forming inverters and UPS functions. Services include sales and planning, technical support and after-sales helpdesk.
Customers include commercial and industrial operators, universities and colleges, EV charging infrastructure projects and installers. The systems are sold for uses such as frequency balancing, curtailment avoidance, peak shaving and microgrids. Recent projects include a microgrid for a Lake District hotel and a storage system for a fuel station.
The company was founded in 2013 by CEO Simon Patterson and is registered in Prescot. Its manufacturing and lab facility is in Holme, Cumbria, with over 2,000 sq. m of manufacturing floor space.
