About Monil
Monil makes a top-mounted cattle collar and app for virtual fencing. Producers draw grazing boundaries in the app, and the collar's audio cues guide cattle within them. The collar uses GNSS positioning, solar charging and 4G (NB-IoT and LTE-M) connectivity, and the app shows live herd location, activity alerts and heat alerts.
Customers are cattle producers, with an initial focus on the US Midwest and an offer aimed at Norwegian beef farmers. The company sells the collars, which carry a 10-year warranty, and states that a rollout can start with as few as six collars.
Monil was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway. Open roles listed include engineering and compliance in Lysaker and sales positions in US regions. The website states that the company is trusted by over 3,000 ranchers.
Product: Top-mounted GNSS cattle collar with solar charging, 4G connectivity and a mobile app for virtual fencing and herd monitoring.
