MESIT develops, manufactures, sells and services tactical communication systems, vehicle intercoms and headsets, aircraft instruments and electronic systems for fighter and transport aircraft, time and frequency measurement instruments, and other devices for transport vehicles. The company states it tests products in laboratories with extreme-condition simulators and certifies hardware and software to RTCA DO-178 and RTCA DO-160.

Its customers include armies and defence buyers, aerospace projects and public land transport operators. The website says its time and frequency technology is used by CERN and NASA, and that its devices are used in public transport in European and American cities. The company is a member of the Omnipol Group, which it joined in 2018.

MESIT was established in 1994 as a subsidiary of MESIT holding, a.s. and continues a tradition of aircraft technology development dating back more than 70 years. Its registered seat and production base are in Mařatice, Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. The company reports its products operate in civil and military aircraft on all continents and it exhibits at international defence and aerospace fairs.
