About Mesa Quantum Systems
Mesa Quantum builds chip-scale quantum sensors and atomic clocks that measure time, magnetic field and motion. Its sensing platform supports alternative positioning, navigation and timing (Alt-PNT), time synchronization, GPS holdover, magnetic ISR and magnetic non-destructive testing. The company also makes VCSEL semiconductor lasers, including custom development built to customer specifications.
Its VCSELs are supplied to instrument makers and are used in quantum, biomedical, 3D sensing and visualization applications. Mesa also measures each shipped VCSEL individually on the wafer and provides the recorded measurements with the part.
The company states that it has more than 20 scientists and engineers and three research and manufacturing sites, in Boulder, Colorado, New Mexico and the United Kingdom. It has announced $3.7M in seed funding and an oversubscribed $11.8M funding round. Current open roles include senior mechanical engineers, principal hardware engineers for analog and RF, and a quantum sensing systems lead.
Product: Chip-scale quantum sensors and atomic clocks, plus VCSEL semiconductor lasers built to specification.
