About Melt&Marble
Melt&Marble designs fats and lipids produced through precision fermentation, for use in food and personal care products. Its personal care ingredient Marble7 is a 3-in-1 bio-active lipid, described as rich in Omega-7 with a profile similar to human sebum, and it was announced for commercial launch in July 2026.

The company grew out of the Systems and Synthetic Biology group at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and shifted its focus to the design of high-performance fats and lipids in 2021. It is headquartered in Johanneberg, Gothenburg, Sweden. In December 2025 it announced a €7.3 million Series A round led by Industrifonden. In March 2026 it reported a self-GRAS status for its fermented fat, enabling US sales.
