About Logometrica

Logometrica develops Alfa and Logos, two digital tools for assessing reading and language skills. Alfa screens a whole class in about 15 minutes and recommends which Logos subtests are relevant for each pupil. Logos is a test battery of 13–18 subtests for mapping reading difficulties, writing and language skills, and diagnosing dyslexia.

Customers are schools, educational psychological services (PPT), speech therapists, special educators and psychologists in Norway. Alfa is sold as an annual subscription priced by the number of pupils at a school. Logos is sold as an annual subscription with one licence per user, with lower prices per licence for larger purchases; certification courses are charged separately.

The company was founded in 1998 by professor Torleiv Høien, and both tools are based on his research and on the Høien and Lundberg model of word decoding. Both tools are normed on Norwegian pupils. The company is headquartered in Bryne, Norway. The website reports more than 200,000 Alfa tests conducted and more than 6,000 Logos users in Scandinavia.

Product: Alfa, a digital class-wide reading and language screening tool for schools; Logos, a digital test battery for mapping reading difficulties and diagnosing dyslexia, used by certified specialists.
