About Litron Lasers
Litron Lasers designs and manufactures pulsed, diode-pumped (DPSS), CW, PIV and tunable Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF laser systems, plus custom laser builds. Applications listed include PIV and visualisation, spectroscopy and LIBS, LIDAR and atmospheric research, LCD and semiconductor processing, photoacoustic imaging and industrial surface processing. The company states that it designs and manufactures all aspects of its products in-house.
Its customers are scientific research groups and industrial users. The company states that more than 3,000 of its units are working in 33 countries. Revenue comes from selling laser systems, including standard models and custom systems.
Litron was founded in 1997 and is based in Rugby, England. In November 2025 it announced a strategic partnership with Nilario, a platform formed in 2024 by the Stockholm-based investment firm Systematic Growth; Litron's owners remain in their roles and become significant shareholders in Nilario. Current job openings are in research and development, laser test, electrical and mechanical engineering, and sales.
