About Lithium de France

Lithium de France produces geothermal heat for companies, farmers and local authorities, and plans lithium production for electric vehicle batteries, in northern Alsace. The company describes itself as the first independent French operator of geothermal heat and lithium. It drills geothermal wells at Schwabwiller, in the commune of Betschdorf, under two exclusive research permits (PER) granted to the company, and is running an aerial survey of the Alsace subsurface that began in February 2026.

Customers are businesses, agricultural operators and territorial authorities that buy heat. The company is a member of Arverne, an entreprise à mission. The European Commission has designated its project as a strategic project under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA).

The company was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Haguenau, France. Its website also references local sponsorship activities in the Haguenau, Lampertsloch and Bischwiller area.

Product: Geothermal heat supply for businesses, farms and local authorities, and planned lithium production from geothermal brines for EV batteries.
