About lbs.de
LBS is the joint online presence of the five Landesbausparkassen, the state building societies of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Its offering covers building savings contracts (Bausparverträge), building finance, modernisation loans, a financing certificate for home purchases, and online access to contract data, along with calculators for these products.
Customers are private individuals in Germany who want to save for, finance or modernise a home, or who plan retirement provision. Products are sold through the LBS advisory centres and through Sparkassen branches, and can also be explored online. The website states that the Landesbausparkassen are the best-known building savings brand in Germany, with about 35 percent market share and nearly 7 million customers. In 2025 they concluded around 393,000 new contracts with a volume of about 21.9 billion euros.
The group describes itself as "Bausparkasse der Sparkassen" and says it has supported home ownership for almost 100 years. LBS IT Informations-Technologie GmbH & Co KG, a joint IT company founded in 1998, provides building society software for the participating Landesbausparkassen and has its registered seat in Berlin. The group is recruiting staff for internal service and sales teams, as well as sales partners.
