About Kongsberg Ferrotech
Kongsberg Ferrotech designs, manufactures and operates remotely operated robots for inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) of underwater installations. The robots carry a range of tools so that inspection and repair can be completed in a single mobilisation. Named systems include Nautilus, for horizontal tubular applications on the seabed, and Oktapous, for vertical tubular applications such as risers and conductors.
The company provides robotic services to operators in the energy and maritime sectors, covering subsea pipelines, offshore wind turbines, subsea power cables and vessel hull repair. It also runs a joint industry project with Equinor, Gassco and SINTEF on 3D printing for in situ, metal-to-metal repairs of subsea assets.
Kongsberg Ferrotech was established in 2014 and has its head office in Kongsberg, Norway. Its website lists a Norwegian postal address in Kongsberg and presents no other offices. Its timeline records a 2022 Nautilus service operation in Southeast Asia and work with PTTEP as a development partner for flowline robotics.
Product: Remotely operated subsea robots (Nautilus, Oktapous) for inspection, repair and maintenance of underwater installations, delivered as robotic services.
