About Kerbo Charge
Kerbo Charge makes a cross-pavement channel that lets a charging cable run safely from a home to a parked car. The channel sits flush in the pavement, has a self-closing lid rated to 250 kN, and the cable can be inserted or removed in 30 seconds.
The customers are households without a driveway or off-street parking. Installation is sold at a fixed price from £999 ex VAT, which includes a property and footpath survey, obtaining local authority permissions, installation of the UKCA-certified channel and a ten-year product warranty. The website says the channel is live or in trial with 55 councils.
Kerbo Charge was founded in 2022 by Michael Goulden and Ben Whitaker and is headquartered in London. Goulden is listed as Chief Executive Officer and Whitaker as Chief Technical Officer. The company is backed by Deborah Meaden.
Product: Cross-pavement charging channel installed in the pavement for home charging of electric vehicles from on-street parking, with installation and a ten-year warranty.
