About Jimmy Energy
Jimmy is a French industrial company that develops nuclear heat generators, also called small modular reactors (SMR), to decarbonise industrial heat. Its high-temperature reactor (HTR) design uses TRISO fuel and produces heat at 470°C without CO2 emissions.
Customers are industrial companies that consume heat. Jimmy installs, operates and dismantles its generators itself, and several units can be combined to match a site's consumption. The company offers heat at a competitive price with predictability guaranteed over 20 to 30 years.
Jimmy was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Paris. It is establishing its industrial platform and manufacturing facilities in Le Creusot (Saône-et-Loire). The company reports a team of nearly 100 people and has announced €80 million in new financing (March 2026), following a €15 million raise in 2023. It is hiring across generator technical specifications, nuclear safety, design and construction, development and manufacturing.
Product: Nuclear heat generators (small modular reactors, HTR design) that supply industrial process heat at 470°C, installed and operated by Jimmy.
