About Jemar Norpower
Jemar Norpower builds work and fishing boats in glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP), including seismic workboats in 23ft, 26ft and 30ft versions, fishing vessels in 23ft to 43ft, and multi-purpose boats for cable handling, oil pollution response and aquaculture. Its MALO brand of fishing boats is named on the company website as well known among professional fishermen in Norway.
Customers include harbours, seismic and offshore oil and gas operators, and professional fishermen; the company sells boats and offers technical support, field service and aftermarket spare parts. The website states that the boats operate in arctic and tropical conditions.
The company is based in Kristiansund, Norway, and states that it has supplied boats since production of fibreglass boats started in 1965, with more than 1600 work and fishing boats delivered. Its website describes a maritime connection dating back to 1917 and hiring for a naval architect and a mechanic in production.
