About Iridesense
Iridesense develops a 3D multispectral SWIR LiDAR that combines long-range 3D mapping of up to 300 m with at-distance material identification across 5 SWIR wavelength bands. The sensor emits its own light, so it operates from full sunlight to total darkness and is described as penetrating dust, fog and rain.
Target applications are mining and quarries (open-pit mapping, ore classification, moisture, volume and granulometry measurement), biomass and organic waste (moisture mapping of compost piles and continuous moisture screening of pellets for boilers), and off-road vehicles and flying platforms (obstacle detection, localisation and identification of dangerous objects). The company is a product business selling this hardware to industrial operators in these sectors.
Iridesense was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in Paris, France, with its address at the ESPCI PC'UP incubator in Paris. Its founders are engineers from ESPCI Paris-Tech, Sorbonne University and Institut d'Optique. The website lists open roles and invites spontaneous applications.
Product: 3D multispectral SWIR LiDAR sensor providing long-range 3D mapping (up to 300 m) and at-distance material identification in real time.
