About Heliostorage
Heliostorage Oy designs and manufactures energy storage systems for electricity and heat in Kokkola, Finland. The product line includes the ESS80 and ESS80P integrated battery systems (80 kWh LiFePO₄ storage with hybrid inverter), the Heat Bank thermal storage unit that converts low-cost electricity into heat, borehole thermal energy storage (BTES) for seasonal storage, solar thermal panels, and a Smart Controller with a custom control board and cloud back-end.
Customers include commercial buildings, farms, industrial plants, schools, district heating networks, and larger homes and housing associations. The systems are sold as site-specific storage solutions aimed at lowering electricity and heating costs, providing peak capacity and backup power, and earning revenue from ancillary markets and spot trading.
The company was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Kokkola, where its products are designed and manufactured. Its products trace back to pilots begun in 2012, and its listed reference installations are in Finland and Guangzhou, China.
