About Greensphere Capital
Kew Reach sells Palette, a platform that helps practitioners choose plant species suited to a site's conditions and future climate scenarios, based on data from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Palette covers more than 320 tree species, 12 UK regions, climate scenarios from 2050 to 2090 and 15 traits and constraints filters. Users can assess a site and share the resulting planting scheme as a client-ready deliverable.
Kew Reach also provides consultancy through three labs: Urban Lab for cities, local authorities and developers; Infrastructure Lab for biodiversity net gain on development and infrastructure projects; and Restoration Lab for landscape restoration. Palette has a free tier and paid Studio, Practitioner and Enterprise plans billed annually in GBP excluding VAT.
Kew Reach was founded in November 2023 as a partnership between the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Greensphere Capital's Gaia Sciences Innovation platform. It is based in London and draws on the expertise of more than 500 Kew scientists through its Kew Method framework, which covers baseline assessment, design, propagation, implementation and monitoring.
