About Foundational
Foundational operates a global satellite laser ranging (SLR) network. Its ground stations fire laser pulses at satellites and time the round trip to range them, and it offers SLR-as-a-service so operators can focus on mission operations.
The company also sells a product line of three passive Laser Retroreflectors for satellites, which need no power, electronics or pointing. Satellite data is delivered through Origin, its online data platform, in normal points and full-rate formats (TDM, CRD or JSON), with orbit determination and propagation for satellite and constellation ephemeris. Raw ranging data is listed as operational and orbit products as in development. Customers are satellite operators.
Foundational is based in London, where most of its open roles are located, and it also has a US-based business development role. It is hiring across software, data and hardware, including astrodynamics, optical engineering, network operations and sales.
Product: SLR-as-a-service on a global ground station network, three passive Laser Retroreflectors, and the Origin data platform for ranging data and orbit products.
