About Fishbones

Fishbones develops branching technology for well stimulation. Its systems run subs with Fishbones needles on a reservoir liner string in the open hole, and a short pumping operation creates multiple lateral branches from one wellbore to reach fractures, layers and high-value zones. The portfolio includes Fishbones Jetting, designed for carbonates, coal bed methane and oil sands, and Fishbones Drilling, used in consolidated formations such as sandstones and basement rock.

The customers are oil and gas operators, along with operators in geothermal and emerging carbon-storage projects. The company cites 95% lower CO2 emissions than hydraulic fracturing, and reports a deepest installation of 5495 m TVD and a longest horizontal section of 2675 m.

Fishbones was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway. The company states that it has pioneered branching since 2004 and holds patented technologies.

Product: Fishbones Jetting and Fishbones Drilling branching systems that create multiple lateral branches from one wellbore for reservoir connectivity.
