About Elax Energie

Elax Energie makes a connected thermostat box that attaches to electric water heaters (chauffe-eaux) and schedules heating based on household habits, weather and renewable energy production. The device is installed in under 20 minutes and can be monitored through apps for tenants, landlords and plumbers.

Its customers are social housing landlords (bailleurs sociaux), who deploy the box across their housing stock, and plumbers who offer it to their clients. Households can also buy the box directly. The company states that it is eligible for French energy-saving certificates (CEE), which lowers the investment for landlords.
