Electra

Electra operates fast-charging stations for electric vehicles, which the website describes as rated up to 400 kW. Drivers start charging through the Electra app, which offers automatic vehicle recognition (Autocharge), route planning and charging notifications, and can also pay with an EC or charge card.

Customers are electric vehicle drivers, including professional drivers and corporate fleets. Revenue comes from charging sales priced per kWh, with the Electra+ subscription offering lower per-kWh rates without contract commitment. The website also invites hotels, restaurants and supermarkets to become location partners that host Electra stations.

The website says the company is a European specialist in fast-charging, with stations listed in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Spain. It lists 805 available stations and 70 upcoming ones, is a founding member of ChargeLeague, and states that it was recently included in the French Tech Next40 list. The website mentions support from donors including the European Union under InvestEU, and lists about 40 open roles, mainly in business development, operations, product and tech, and finance, many of them internships or apprenticeships. The founding year and headquarters location are not stated on the pages reviewed.
