About dodona.be

Dodona is an online practice platform for programming education. Students solve exercises in a browser-based editor or external IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, and submissions are checked automatically for correctness, performance and style. Teachers get learning analytics, and the platform includes built-in plagiarism detection and support for more than 20 programming languages.

Customers are schools, universities and publishers. Teachers use the platform for free. Schools and institutions buy student licences, billed per student per month or annually, or campus-wide licences, and publishers distribute interactive course content to partner schools.

Dodona started at Ghent University in 2016 and is used in classrooms in Belgium and beyond. The website lists 2938 schools and 115196 students. It supports single sign-on via Microsoft, Google Workspace, Smartschool and SURFconext, and connects to institutional learning platforms via LTI.
