About Desentum

Desentum is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing allergen immunotherapies using modified recombinant allergens. Its lead candidate, DM-101PX, targets birch pollen allergy; candidates for peanut, grass pollen and cat allergies are in preclinical development.

The treatments are intended for people with allergies and aim to induce tolerance to specific allergens. The products are investigational and are not approved for marketing in any region.

Desentum was founded in 2011 as a spin-off from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and is headquartered in Espoo. It has received funding from Business Finland, the European Innovation Council and private investors.
