About Galena Pharma
Galena Pharma Oy, based in Kuopio, Finland, develops and manufactures medical devices, OTC healthcare products, cosmetics and veterinary medicines. Its ready-to-market white-label range covers gastrointestinal health, female intimate care, cough and cold, pain relief and skin care. It also offers CDMO services, including product development, production, quality assurance, regulatory support and acting as legal manufacturer for CE-marked devices.
Customers are pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare companies, including start-ups and spin-off companies. They either in-license white-label products and add their own brand, or outsource development and manufacturing. Finished products are sold to consumers through pharmacies, wellness stores and grocery stores under the client brands. The company earns its revenue from manufacturing and supplying products and services to these businesses.
The company has manufactured OTC healthcare products since 1996 and holds ISO 13485 certification since 2013. It completed the EU MDR transition in 2022 and holds a GMP permit. Its ISO 14001 certificate was renewed in 2025 and is valid until 2028. Galena serves an international customer base and has sales staff for Central Europe, the Nordics, the UK and Benelux. It is currently recruiting production workers for manufacturing and packaging.
