Converia GmbH develops Converia, conference management software for content-driven professional congresses. The product covers abstract submission, reviewer assignment with conflict-of-interest rules, program planning with parallel tracks, rooms and times, online registration and ticket sales, invoicing, on-site check-in with QR codes and badges, and a conference app with a live program.

Customers are universities and research institutions, associations and professional societies, and congress agencies (PCOs). Revenue comes from monthly subscription plans, from €49 per month for individual conferences and from €129 per month for multi-event flex contracts, plus a percentage of ticket revenue.

The company was founded in 2000 in Weimar as a web agency and began developing its conference software that year; the Converia product took its name in 2009, and the agency business was sold in 2018. The company is based in Weimar, Germany, and states that it operates without investors. It reports over 1,000 conferences organized per year with its software, including clients such as the Technical University of Munich, the University of Cologne and Fraunhofer Institutes, and a team of about 30. Since May 2025 it has been researching AI-supported program planning for multi-day congresses, co-funded by the European Union.
