About Carboreal
Carboreal develops afforestation projects in Finland that plant diverse new forests on fields unsuitable for farming, creating new carbon sinks. Its projects follow the ISO 14064-2:2019 method, are independently validated, and come with transparent project documentation, with the project sites listed in the Finnish property register. The company names Kiwa as the independent body that certifies its carbon sequestration.
Customers are companies and organisations that require scientific reliability, independent verification and transparent documentation for their emission offsetting. Carboreal offers a quote-based service for businesses. It has also announced a partnership with the municipality of Rautavaara on municipal climate work.
Carboreal Oyj is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, and was founded in 2023. Recent company news includes a business acquisition (Puuni Oy), a new Chief Revenue Officer, a partnership with the football club HJK, and new representation in the United States and the Nordic countries.
Product: Afforestation-based carbon removal projects in Finland, sold to companies as a transparent way to offset CO2 emissions.
