About Bronto Skylift

Bronto Skylift designs and manufactures truck-mounted hydraulic aerial platforms for fire and rescue and industrial access work. Products include rescue cages, water and foam systems on firefighting models, and the Bronto+ control system. The company designs and manufactures its platforms in Finland, and the booms are welded in its own factories.

Customers are fire brigades and industrial customers. The company reports over 7,000 hydraulic platforms delivered to customers in more than 120 countries. Revenue comes from platform sales and from after-sales offering spare parts, service and retrofits for older units, with a stated 25-year guaranteed supply of spare parts.

The business started in 1972 as a workshop in Tampere, Finland. It is part of the Japanese Morita Group and has subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. Production is in factories in Tampere and Pori, with a service and administration centre in Pirkkala. The company employs over 400 people, with over 300 at its Finnish factories, and its open roles include manufacturing, customer service, painting and engineering.

Product: Truck-mounted hydraulic aerial platforms for firefighting, rescue and industrial access, with spare parts, service and retrofits.
