About Brightflow
Brightflow is a French medtech company developing a percutaneous, long-lasting right ventricular (RV) support device for patients with right heart failure. The device is under preclinical development and not yet available for human use, and the company is preparing first-in-human trials. Brightflow holds EMA Orphan Device designation (OD/EMA/EX/0000281308) for isolated RV dysfunction and Fontan circulation failure.
The device is intended for patients with right ventricular dysfunction, including those with end-stage heart failure for whom existing minimally invasive treatments offer only temporary relief. Its audience is physicians and patients with right heart disease. The company does not sell the device yet.
Brightflow was founded in 2020 by cardiologist Pascal Lim, who serves as President and CEO. Its registered seat is in Orléans and it is based in Paris. The company reports a team of 30 full-time engineers and is supported by a strategic partner and life science venture capital firms.
Product: Percutaneous, long-lasting right ventricular support device for right heart failure, in preclinical development.
