About Birtley House Group

Birtley House is a private nursing home in Bramley, Surrey, providing nursing and personal care, respite care and end-of-life palliative care. It also cares for residents with conditions such as Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, strokes and motor neurone disease. Birtley Mews, a set of retirement homes for people over 65, sits in a courtyard behind the nursing home.

Customers are older people who need nursing or respite care, and their families. Residents receive care at the home on a private basis, and those choosing long-term care can purchase a West Wing apartment with 24-hour nursing care.

The family business was founded in 1932 by Dr Lloyd Driver and his wife Joan and is owned and managed by the Whalley family. The legal entity, Birtley House Group Ltd, was founded in 2006. The home's grounds cover 48 acres of the Surrey Hills. The company is recruiting health care assistants, specialist nurses and support staff for operations and HR roles.
