About BioGenium Microsystems
BioGenium Microsystems develops biomimicking cell culture technology and microfluidic engineering systems for life science research. Its technology keeps live cells under physiological conditions, so cells can be cultured, maintained, transferred and observed. The flagship product is OxyGenie, a portable cell culture device that maintains live cells under low oxygen conditions, with disposable injection-moulded silicone components in which cells are grown.
Customers are researchers building cell models for drug development, cancer treatments and human stem cell based models. Listed applications also include irradiation of cancer cells in hypoxia and Drosophila melanogaster studies. The OxyGenie device is marketed under its name by Baker Company.
The company was established in June 2018 as a spin-off of Tampere University of Technology from the micro- and nanosystems research group led by Prof. Pasi Kallio. It is headquartered in Tampere, Finland.
Product: OxyGenie portable cell culture device and biomimicking cell culture technology with disposable silicone components.
