About bibtip.de
BibTip is a recommendation service that adds links to related titles in online library catalogues. The recommendations are generated from the observed search behaviour of catalogue users and their statistical analysis, and they adapt automatically to current usage. They work across media types and are independent of the interface language.
The service is operated on central servers and integrated into existing catalogues, so the catalogue operator needs no hardware or administration. It supports recommendation exchange between different libraries and can offer recommendations in other catalogues. BibTip states that it does not store personal data of catalogue users.
Product: Recommendation service embedded in library online catalogues, delivering links to related titles based on catalogue user behaviour.
