About Berezan Port
Berezan Port is a project to build a deep-sea cargo seaport and an industrial free zone on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine. The planned port has 10 cargo terminals, a berthing front of more than 25 km and a depth of 20 m. The adjoining industrial area would include a railway freight hub connected to the Ukrainian national rail network and a cargo airport, using the existing airport in Mykolaiv or a later facility at Ochakov.
The industrial zone is planned with a special tax-free regime that would let manufacturers in the zone produce and ship goods without import and export duties, a regime the government of Ukraine is to develop and introduce. The project states that it is supported by the Ukrainian government. Investment information is provided as a teaser summarising a commercial feasibility study prepared by KPMG.
BEREZAN PORT LIMITED, a UK private limited company founded in 2023 and headquartered in London, owns and manages the project. The managing board is led by CEO Jon Queen, with senior vice presidents for general counsel, technical design, and development and investments.
