Baymarkets

Baymarkets develops and sells Clara, a multi-asset, multi-currency clearing system. The software includes a VaR risk model with Monte Carlo simulation, stress testing, backtesting, guarantee fund calculations and margin simulation, and supports standard interfaces such as ISO 15022/20022 and FIX. Clara can be deployed as Docker containers on Kubernetes, on premise or in the cloud.

Customers are central counterparties and clearing organisations; Clara can also be used by organisations that need a lighter clearing and settlement solution without a full CCP licence. The website names Abaxx Commodity Futures Exchange and Clearing House, which went live with Clara on 28 June 2024. Revenue is generated by selling the clearing system.

Baymarkets was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with an office in Stockholm, Sweden. The website states that the company has been operating since 2007. In November 2025 Baymarkets joined SIX Group as a fully owned subsidiary. It is an affiliate member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS).
