B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North Ltd) is an internet service provider that builds and runs symmetrical gigabit full-fibre broadband networks in rural areas. Each property has a dedicated fibre, and the network is buried underground rather than carried on telegraph poles.

Customers include residential households, businesses, holiday lets, caravan sites and hotels, community assets such as village halls, and schools. Customers pay monthly service charges, and the company is registered as a Community Benefit Society, so any surplus must be reinvested in the communities it serves. Local communities raise capital through community shares, and government voucher funding covers much of the build.

B4RN was launched in December 2011 by a local volunteer group, and the first ground was broken in Quernmore in March 2012. Its office is in Melling, Lancashire. The company reports more than 15,500 customers and is recruiting a Business Development Manager.
