About Automous

Automous builds ElePrice, a price forecasting service for electricity markets including FFR, FCR-N, FCR-D, aFRR and mFRR capacity and Nord Pool day-ahead, and OptiBid, a multimarket bidding optimizer for batteries and co-located assets such as solar, wind and electric vehicles.

Its customers are energy market participants and asset owners; the forecasts are offered as a cloud service and the company has a service agreement with Finnish energy company Lumme Energia. The company says it also works with channel partners. In 2025 NSC EnergyOpti Oy acquired a majority stake in Automous Oy.

Automous Oy is a deep tech spin-off from Aalto University, with its office in Espoo, Finland, and its registered seat in Helsinki. The team page lists the CEO and co-founder Taneli Hölttä, along with product, product engineering and AI/ML roles.
