About äio tech

äio tech develops oils and fats using microbial fermentation. Its proprietary yeast converts industrial and agricultural side streams into ingredients intended as alternatives to palm oil, coconut oil and animal fats.

Its products include Encapsulated Oil, Red Oil and ZymaLipid for food, cosmetics and oleochemical applications. Partners in the food, cosmetics and household sectors are testing its oils.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Tallinn, the company has scaled its operations to 10,000 liters and is seeking Series A investment. It has received research grants from the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
