AI for Hamburg GmbH / AI.FUND GmbH / AI.IMPACT GmbH / AI.GROUP

AI.HAMBURG is a not-for-profit initiative that promotes knowledge transfer and the business use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the Hamburg metropolitan region. Its activities include workshops, information events, online formats, a free community with a newsletter, and formats such as AI Info Breakfast and AI Happy Hour.

Its audience is companies, startups, universities and decision-makers in the region, and it is supported by founding partners including Hamburg@work, Tutech Innovation, TUHH, Hamburg Invest, Ahoi Digital and ARIC. The website does not describe a revenue model; it lists partner and summit participation as ways to get involved.

The initiative was founded in 2019 by Petra Vorsteher and Ragnar Kruse, the founders of Smaato, and is a founding member of AI4Germany. It organises the annual AI.SUMMIT at CCH Hamburg, scheduled for 24 November 2026. Its open positions are three working-student roles: marketing and communications, speaker and startup management for AI.SUMMIT 2026, and IT and RPA/automation.
