About 4C Biomed

4C Biomed discovers immune targets for cancer and develops drugs that modulate them. Its screening platform combines patient-derived tumour cultures or tumour digests with the same patient's immune cells (TILs or PBMCs) and clinical data annotations to identify and prioritise targets.

Its lead candidate, anti-4CB1, is a fully human anti-HVEM monoclonal antibody that blocks the HVEM-BTLA and HVEM-CD160 interactions. The drug has completed IND-enabling studies and is planned to enter clinical Phase I in early 2027. The company states that over 20% of the immune targets it discovered have reached clinical trials by pharmaceutical companies, and it invites pharma partnerships. Several patents have been filed, and some of the research is supported by an IIA grant.

The company is registered as 4C BIOMED LIMITED in London, United Kingdom, and was founded in 2020. Its leadership includes Dr. Alan Barge, MD, as Chief Executive Officer, and a team of researchers and clinicians with backgrounds at academic medical centres and pharmaceutical companies.

Product: Immunological screening platform for cancer immune targets and the anti-4CB1 anti-HVEM monoclonal antibody drug candidate.
