About Zora Biosciences

Zora Biosciences Oy is a Finnish diagnostics company with a cardiometabolic focus. It uses mass spectrometry to identify disease markers and develops them into high-throughput clinical diagnostic tests. Its CERT2 test is a ceramide-based cardiovascular risk score for myocardial infarction, cardiovascular death and stroke, and its dSCORE test is a ceramide-based score for the probability of type 2 diabetes onset. A fatty liver disease test is in development.

The tests are commercialised together with international partners or through the company's own reference laboratory in Finland. Partners named on the site include Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the University of Bergen, the University of Milan and HUS. The site states that Mayo Clinic uses the CERT test.

The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Zora is a partner in the CoroPrevention project, which is funded by the European Commission's Horizon programme.

Product: CERT2 cardiovascular risk score test, dSCORE type 2 diabetes risk score test, and a fatty liver disease test in development, based on mass spectrometry.
