Whyp is a private audio hosting service. Users upload audio, share it through unlisted links with optional passwords and expiry dates, and embed a customizable player on websites or in documents. Timestamped comments can be left on the waveform, and audio requests let other people send recordings without an account.

The service is aimed at voice actors, musicians and bands, podcasters, churches and educators, and it is offered in a free tier and a Pro subscription (€9 per month or yearly billing) plus a one-time Pro Lifetime purchase of €219. Free accounts are limited to 10 tracks of up to 8 minutes; Pro removes the track limit, allows uploads up to 5 hours long and adds FLAC lossless audio.

The website reports 32M+ plays, 373K+ tracks, 44K+ hours of audio and listeners in 220+ countries. It also states that there are no ads and that uploaded audio is not used to train AI models.
