WaveTag was founded in Prague, Czechia, with the registered legal entity WaveTag s.r.o. dated 18 August 2025. The website says the idea came from four friends studying at a Prague secondary technical school and that a first prototype was presented in December 2023. The company runs its engraving workshop in Prague 5 and plans B2C marketing campaigns, full process automation and expansion into other Central European markets in 2026.
