About Vitalthings
Vitalthings develops contactless health monitoring devices and alarm systems for healthcare. Its range includes Guardian Fall for fall detection and prevention, Guardian M10 patient monitor (medically approved, risk class IIb), Guardian H10 health monitor for institutions and home use, Guardian View distributed alarm system, and Somnofy, a sleep and presence monitor that is currently used mainly in research.
The company works closely with hospitals and institutions. Its stated use areas are hospitals, psychiatry, substance abuse care, home care, nursing homes and sheltered housing, and research. Guardian View shows real-time status and alarms for up to 20 patients on one screen and is CE-marked under MDR class IIb. Guardian M10 is in operation at St. Olavs hospital.
Vitalthings was established in 2017 and is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway. Its development began in 2014, and it received funding from Innovasjon Norge in 2018. The Guardian H10 is being prepared for future medical certification.
