About Vaxinano
Vaxinano develops vaccines and its Stellar-NP nasal antigen delivery platform, intended to strengthen immune responses to prophylactic vaccines and enable therapeutic ones. Proof of concept is stated against fungi, parasites, viruses and bacteria. The company follows a One Health approach, targeting veterinary and human infectious diseases, including zoonoses.
Vaxinano has licensed its toxoplasmosis vaccine VXN-Toxo to ECO Animal Health under an exclusive licensing agreement. It has also carried out vaccination campaigns in zoos, stating since 2017 campaigns in 32 zoos and more than 10,000 vaccinated animals.
The company was founded in 2016 by Pr. Didier Betbeder, is based in Loos, France, and describes itself as a clinical-stage biotech. It has announced a €10 million fundraising round aimed at industrialization.
