About Valbek SK
Valbek SK is a design and engineering consultancy focused mainly on linear infrastructure. Its services cover design of roads, bridges, railways, tunnels, water-management and building structures, from study stage through the DUR, DSP and DRS documentation phases. It also offers engineering activities, technical supervision, surveys and geodesy, a soil mechanics laboratory, BIM, and development of software for construction.
Customers are clients commissioning infrastructure projects. Reference projects named on the company's website include the D1 Mengusovce–Jánovce motorway section, the D1 Prešov bridge, a railway bridge for ŽSR in Sládkovičovo and the Košice roundabout. Projects are listed in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden and Ukraine.
The company was founded in 1991 and has its registered seat in Bratislava. It became part of the PRODEX railway design group in 2009, merged with its sister company in 2020, and was renamed Valbek SK, spol. s r.o. on 1 June 2022. It has offices in Košice, Žilina and Prague, and is a subsidiary of a foreign group. It currently has open positions for road, bridge, railway, water-structure, building and electrical design roles in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
