About uepaa.ch

Uepaa AG, an ETH spin-off founded in 2012, makes the Uepaa Safety App, a personal emergency signal (Totmann) system for employees working alone. It runs on smartphones and smartwatches and can use the employee's own device (BYOD). Accidents are detected automatically by sensors and timers, and users can raise a manual emergency call; alarms are handled by a 24/7 alarm centre. The app also alerts nearby users within 2 km as first responders.

Customers are companies with lone workers, including pharma, energy, industrial and public-sector organisations. The product is sold as a per-seat yearly subscription, with pricing listed in CHF. The company states it has more than 250 corporate customers and more than 120,000 users across Europe.

Uepaa AG is headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland. It has been supported by more than 50 private and institutional investors, with CHF 7.5 million in venture capital raised, and has grown from its own resources since 2018. Suva has been a contract partner since 2020.

Product: Uepaa Safety App: a personal emergency signal (Totmann) function for smartphones and smartwatches, with BYOD support, a 24/7 alarm centre and usage reports.
