About Ucheck

uCheck provides an online employment screening platform in the UK. It offers DBS checks (basic, standard, enhanced and volunteer), right-to-work checks, identity and digital identity verification, and adverse credit checks, with individual and self-employed checks also available. Access includes an API, integrations and a branded version of the platform.

Customers are UK employers screening job applicants and employees, from national organisations with multiple offices to small employers, as well as individuals. Revenue comes from pay-as-you-go pricing per check, with no upfront minimums or contract tie-ins and bulk discounts on larger DBS volumes. A branded platform is offered as a one-off charge plus VAT.

The company traces its roots to offering CRB (now DBS) checks in 2002 and began offering checks online in 2010. It was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Wilmslow, with an address in Exeter also listed. It joined The Citation Group in 2022 and acquired Disclosure Services in 2023. It states it is a Crown Commercial Service supplier, a DBS Responsible Organisation and Registered Body, and holds Cyber Essentials, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications.
