About Totalsim CFD
TotalSim-CFD is a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) consultancy. It solves complex fluid-flow problems for engineering teams, either by taking on the problem from definition through to results, or by providing a CFD support service with tools, methods, training and expert support so that a client's own team can build the capability in-house. Application areas include aerodynamics and hydrodynamics, heat transfer, multiphase flows, particle tracking, HVAC and ventilation, wind loading, pedestrian comfort and aeroacoustics.
Customers are engineering teams in automotive and motorsport, aerospace and transport, buildings and HVAC, energy and renewables, sports, industrial and manufacturing, pharmaceutical and healthcare, and research and development. The company sells consultancy projects and its CFD support service.
TotalSim-CFD is part of the TotalSim Group and was formed in the 2021/22 restructuring of that group; the group's CFD capability dates back to 2007. The company is led by Rob Lewis and states it has well over 100 man-years of direct CFD experience. It works with other TotalSim Group companies and with international partners TotalSim US and TotalSim Japan. It is recruiting a Senior CFD Engineer based at the Catesby Innovation Centre in the UK.
