About TMK Machinery

TMK Machinery designs and manufactures attachments for excavators and tiltrotators, mainly tree shears, the TMK MultiGrab grapple family and a Grapple Saw for tree removal and forestry work. The first tree shear, the TMK 300, was developed in 2009 by Tenho Koponen. The company was originally called TMK Tree Shear and took its current name in 2022.

Customers are contractors, forest operators and farmers who mount the attachments on their machines. Products are sold through a distributor network that the company says covers more than 30 countries, and the company sells its products to dealers and distributors. Products carry a 2-year warranty and are built in-house from Hardox steel.

The company is headquartered in Hankasalmi, Finland, where all products are manufactured in its own factory. It was founded in 2013. In June 2026 TMK Machinery Oy acquired Piippo Hydraulic.
