About Thruvision

Thruvision develops and manufactures AI-based people-screening security technology. Its patented passive THz screening detects concealed metallic and non-metallic items, including weapons, explosives, cash, narcotics and stolen goods, at up to 1,800 people per hour.

Customers are government and commercial organisations. The company names five markets: retail distribution, customs agencies, prisons, entrance security and aviation worker screening. It sells screening systems and has manufacturing capability in the UK and the USA.

Thruvision Limited was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Abingdon, UK. Its technology traces back to 2002, when it was derived from satellite technology developed by the UK Government's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. The parent group, Thruvision Group plc, is listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market (THRU.L). The company states that its technology is deployed in more than 30 countries.
