About The Home of the North
The Home of the North Oy offers construction services in Finland, from land search and advice through excavation, building and final inspection. Services include new construction and pre-marketing for detached houses, summer cottages, halls, barns and commercial premises, along with earthmoving and crane work using its own 14-tonne excavator and building supervision.
The company also sells element and log houses in cooperation with Vieska Elementti, plus windows, lift doors and timber elements for halls, bought directly from manufacturers. Other services cover renovation, changes of building use, demolition with asbestos sampling, and rental of break trailers, trailers, dehumidifiers and aluminium scaffolding. Clients receive the whole project through one provider.
Founded in 2022 and based in Toivala, the company is led by founder Jari Hartikainen, who has worked in construction since completing vocational training as a building craftsman in 1998. Its work is mainly carried out in North Savo and North Karelia, while element, log house and supply sales cover all of Finland.
Product: Turnkey construction of houses and buildings, element and log house sales, window and lift-door sales, earthmoving, crane work, renovation, demolition and equipment rental.
