About Tetherx

TetherX builds an open cloud video management system that brings cameras, alarm panels and access control from more than 1,000 integrations into one application. A TetherBox device at each site records locally and connects to the cloud platform. Features include multi-camera event views, camera health monitoring, on-device person and vehicle detection, audio analytics and optional cloud recording.

The company sells through accredited security integrators and distributors, who scope, install and support each system for end customers. Customers include multi-site operators in retail, social housing, healthcare and construction. Pricing starts at £100 per site per year, with optional cloud recording from £5 per camera per month, and final quotes are issued by the local installer.

TetherX Limited was incorporated in 2021 and is headquartered in London. The company states that its product dates back to a 2009 prototype and that it became independent in 2022 without outside venture capital. The website reports more than 2,000 sites protected.

Product: Cloud video management system (VMS) with TetherBox site recorders, alarm and access integrations, and TetherX AI analytics.
